3,300 candidates are invited by Canada in today’s Express Entry draw; Express Entry draw for 2023

Today, Feb 2nd, 2023, Canada has announced its recent Express Entry draw with a score of 489. A total of 3,300 invites were issued to all the eligible candidates.

Candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker were eligible for this round of invitations.

With the cut-off score of 489, IRCC has invited a total of 3,300 candidates. The invites were sent to all the candidates who were eligible for Federal Skilled Worker (FSW). Invitations may be issued under these Ministerial Instructions during the period beginning on February 2, 2023 and ending on February 3, 2023

With this draw, the score has not been increased significantly. The tie-breaking rule for this draw was implemented for March 29, 2022 16:09:00 UTC. There was a decrease noticed in the score, & it is a relief for many who were expecting an invite in this draw.

The all-program specific draws were on pause from Dec 2020 because of an enormous number of applications being submitted. As the number of applications kept on surging, but not being processed on time due to covid-19 and therefore, the backlog reached the peak. It is articulated that there might be an increase in the number of invitations to be sent for the next draw as well. In this seemingly post-pandemic world, year 2023 will be very helpful for people who waited for more than a year for the draws to be resumed.

Also, it is a good news that the program-specific draws have been presumed.

However, with this regular fashion of draws, it is estimated that this pattern will remain the same in future as expected.
